Episode 56 Summary

The episode starts off with Kagome telling her story: how she arrived, the people she has met, and the plot. Once she finishes, we see Miroku "helping" a woman out, and afterwards, proceeds to grope her (as usual). Anyway, the woman walks away before Miroku does something else, and walks away with a wicked grin.

The group stops by a place to rest, and when Miroku reaches for his money, he realizes its gone. Apparently, the woman let Miroku grope her so she could steal his money. The group passes by the resting place and they realize that Miroku isn't with them. Sango goes to look for him, and finds him talking to some woman. They arrive to the nearest town, where the women explain that all the men of their village have disappeared. Miroku gets disappointed since they all must be married. The Inu-tachi decides to go check things out, but a woman mentions that they should be careful, since the demon is said to be a rare beauty. Miroku then suggests that he will go alone, which makes Kagome and Sango suspicious. The group lets Miroku leave as they wait at a small house in the woods. It doesn't take too long for Sango to go after Miroku, thinking that she will probably have to save Miroku when he is distracted by his lecherous ways. Kagome and Shippou try to make Inuyasha understand that Sango is in love with Miroku, but as usual, he doesn't get it.

As Miroku and Sango walk through the woods, they start to talk about the story behind the demon. Apparently, the demon used to be a princess who was left to die alone after all of her guardians died. Miroku sees a barrier before them, and hands Sango a green rosary that will protect her. As they go into the barrier, the fog gets thicker, and they get separated. Miroku arrives to the other end, where a beautiful princess invites him to her mansion. Sango comes out to another place, where she sees a large group of very old men sitting on the grass. Sango asks one of them why they are there calling him "old man", but the man denies that he is old even though he is really wrinkled.

The old men tell her that they are the men who disappeared from the village, and that they were taken to her mansion where something had happened to them. Miroku sits with the princess who begs Miroku to stay because she can't leave. She starts to tell Miroku to look into her eyes. Sango runs off knowing that Miroku is in danger and arrives just in time to stop them before they kiss. The demon hears Sango yell at Miroku, but cannot see her and backs away. The demon shows it's true form. A giant wolf or wild dog. Sango takes advantage of not being seen and starts to attack her. For some reason Miroku stops her. Miroku is able to take the princess' soul out of the wild dog. Then Sango can slay it. Sango starts to attack, but the demon shatters the rosary Miroku gave her and strikes at Sango. Sango is able to block the attack using Hiraikotsu, but gets all cracked. Miroku throws some scrolls and Sango finishes it up with her weapon, the Hiraikotsu. The fog, the mansion, and the youkai disappear. Sango looks for Miroku and sees him holding the princess. Sango is not "okay" with Miroku holding her. The princess' spirit floats away.

Miroku buries the princess' remains at the village and tells the villagers that if they take care and bring things to it, the princess will help them. Kagome talks to Miroku and says that Sango has been very sad ever since they came back. Sango sits by a river calling herself stupid. Miroku comes by and asks her if she is alright. She starts to tell Miroku that he would have been fine without her, and Miroku says to her that she was very helpful to him. The others of course are spying on them. Miroku asks Sango if she was worried about him. Sango says to him that she only worried because of the way he acts when it comes to women and denies that she is jealous. (even though she is jealous) Miroku takes a hold of her hand and says to her that he is happy that she worried, which makes Sango blush and look away.

When Sango turns away and blushes not knowing what to do, Miroku does his usual business. Sango slaps him for touching her like that. (stupid Miroku had to ruin the moment -.-)

About the Name

This name was thought of by Rika, and I must say that it is a fitting name indeed. Sango's worried about Miroku while he faces the demon, hence the name "Worried".
